O polêmico mega-empresário Elon Musk perdeu o posto de a pessoa mais rica do mundo. Uma das razões é a queda acentuada no valor das ações da Tesla, montadora de carros elétricos, uma de suas empresas.
Quem assumiu a liderança do ranking, segundo a Forbes, é o francês Bernard Arnault, presidente-executivo do grupo LVMH.
O conglomerado comandado por Arnault, de 73 anos, conta com cerca de 70 marcas de roupas, cosméticos, vinhos e outros artigos de luxo, entre elas, Louis Vuitton, Marc Jacobs, Sephora e Chandon.
Conforme levantamento da Forbes, que tradicionalmente divulga a lista das maiores fortunas do mundo, o património de Arnault era, até esta terça-feira (13), de US$ 188 bilhões, o equivalente a R$ 997 bilhões.
O agora segundo colocado, Musk, tem US$ 178 bilhões (R$ 944 bilhões). Em outubro, ele concluiu a compra do Twitter por US$ 44 bilhões. A aquisição ocorreu em meio a batalhas na Justiça.
