INTEGRITY-MOÇAMBIQUE, 30 de Outubro de 2022-O Serviço Nacional de Investigação Criminal de Moçambique (Sernic) deteve, na sexta-feira, na cidade da Beira, um empresário de origem nigeriana indiciado pelo crime de tráfico de droga, anunciou ontem uma fonte oficial.
“Este cidadão, de origem nigeriana, é um empresário da praça que se dedica na venda de cosmético em toda região centro”, disse à comunicação social na cidade da Beira Lurdes Cuchama, porta-voz do Sernic na província de Sofala, centro de Moçambique.
“A sua detenção foi mediante a uma denúncia anónima, que descrevia que o indiciado guardava a droga na sua residência. Diligências levadas a cabo pelo Sernic tornaram possível a apreensão da droga”, acrescentou.
Na residência do empresário, as autoridades apreenderam 536 gramas de cannábis, quantidade não especificada de cocaína e uma “máquina trituradora das drogas”, segundo o Sernic, que não descarta a possibilidade de existirem outros envolvidos neste tipo de crime na região centro. Organizações internacionais colocam Moçambique no caminho de diversas rotas de tráfico de droga, sobretudo com origem na Ásia e atravessando o oceano Índico. (Mundo Ao Minuto)
