INTEGRITY-MOÇAMBIQUE, 27 de Outubro de 2022-Estima-se que até ao famigerado ano de 2030, ou seja, dentro de oito anos, mais de 15 milhões de moçambicanos irão usar o gás de cozinha nas suas residências. Esta informação foi avançada há dias pelo Director nacional de Hidrocarbonetos, Moisés Paulino, durante um evento de massificação do uso do gás de cozinha nas residências.
Moisés Paulino disse que “será feita uma campanha de sensibilização das comunidades para o uso do gás de cozinha, num processo gradual, tendo avançado durante a sua explanação de que na cidade de Maputo”, por exemplo, há bairros em que as pessoas já não precisam de comprar gás num posto ou num estabelecimento comercial, uma vez que este é canalizado nas residências.
Na ocasião, o dirigente explicou que esta prevista para breve o arranque da construção de postos de abastecimento piloto do gás nas províncias de Maputo e Inhambane e que a partir de 2023, começaram a circular de Maputo a Vilankulo carros movidos a gás, e haverão infraestruturas de abastecimento deste combustível em todo o país.
Paulino avançou que a estratégia do governo passa por o gás produzido em Temane, na província de Inhambane ou na Bacia do Rovuma, em Cabo Delgado, não se destine somente à exportação, mas também ao mercado doméstico.
De referir que foi em Anchilo, no distrito de Nampula, província com o mesmo nome, que o Presidente da República, Filipe Nyusi, inaugurou em Abril do presente ano, um depósito de gás pertencente a Petromoc e com capacidade de armazenamento de 50 toneladas métricas de gás e que pode encher cerca de 5500 botijas por dia.
