INTEGRITY-MOÇAMBIQUE, 20 de Outubro de 2022 – Foi através de um despacho datado de 18 de Outubro do presente ano, que a Ministra da Justiça, Assuntos Constitucionais e Religiosos, Helena Lida mandou suspender temporariamente as actividades da Igreja Velha Apostólica em Moçambique.
A decisão surge devido aos últimos episódios de violência entre membros da seita religiosa, contra a liderança máxima.
“A Ministra da Justiça, Assuntos Constitucionais e Religiosos no uso de suas competências e atribuições legais, determina a suspensão temporária de todas actividades religiosas desta igreja a nível nacional, com efeitos imediatos”, lê-se no despacho.
Ainda de acordo com o documento, a medida visa que os membros da congregação religiosa se restaurem e encontrem uma solução pacífica e duradoura que permita a reabertura da igreja. (Onélio Luís)
