INTEGRITY-MOÇAMBIQUE, 07 de Outubro de 2022-Foi através de uma nota informativa que a Cornelder de Moçambique anunciou que investiu recentemente num sistema informático de reconhecimento de matrículas e números de contentores através de câmeras. Trata-se do OCR (Optical Character Recognition), um moderno e inteligente portal informático utilizado na gestão do tráfego rodoviário em várias cidades europeias e americanas pelo mundo fora e que pela primeira vez, é implementado no Terminal de Contentores do Porto da Beira.
Na nota, a Cornelder de Moçambique diz que “o investimento nesta solução tecnológica visa para além de reforçar a eficiência e controlo dos principais acessos no recinto portuário, automatizar o processo de registo da colecta automática de contentores, detectar a presença de contentores com mercadoria perigosa através dos adesivos IMO e detectar a presença de selos, placas de camiões e imagens de gravação para fins de identificação e controlo de dados a nível de segurança”.
Segundo a Cornelder de Moçambique, o projecto é liderado por uma equipa interna composta pelo Departamento de ICT e Segurança Cibernética, Terminal de Contentores, Engenharia e Segurança contempla três principais acessos do recinto portuário (portões 5,6 e 8A). O feedback inicial dos stakeholders do Porto tem sido muito positivo, “continuaremos a apostar na melhoria da qualidade dos nossos serviços”, afirmou o Administrador-Delegado da Cornelder de Moçambique, Jan De Vries.
