INTEGRITY-MOÇAMBIQUE, 04 de Outubro de 2022-O Banco de Moçambique (BM) informou nesta segunda-feira (03) através de um comunicado de imprensa, que, entre Junho de 2021 e Agosto de 2022, sancionou cinco instituições de crédito, com multas que variam de 40 mil meticais a 9 050 000, por violação de normas de conduta, nomeadamente, a Lei n.º 20/2020, de 31 de Dezembro – Lei das Instituições de Crédito e Sociedades Financeiras (LICSF), o Aviso n.º 11/GGBM/99, de 13 de Dezembro – Normas de Controlo Interno (NCI), o Aviso n.º 2/GBM/2018, de 16 de Abril – Código de Conduta das Instituições de Crédito e Sociedades Financeiras (CCICSF), o Aviso n.º 9/GBM/2020, de 31 de Dezembro – Regulamento de Tratamento das Reclamações (RTR) e o Aviso n.º 1/GBM/2003, de 28 de Fevereiro – Regulamento de Valorização do Uso de Cheques (RC).
De acordo com o BM, entre as irregularidades detectadas pelo Banco Central, destaca-se o fornecimento de produtos financeiros sem solicitação ou acordo prévio e expresso do cliente (LICSF); Registo indevido de nome de cliente na Central de Registo de Crédito (LICSF); Inobservância do prazo regulamentar de resposta à reclamação de clientes (RTR); Inobservância do prazo de resposta às notificações do Banco de Moçambique no âmbito de processos de reclamações de clientes (RTR).
No comunicado consta que há, ainda nas irregularidades, a cobrança de prestações de crédito a entidade que não é cliente da instituição (NCI); Violação do dever de correcta administração de crédito (NCI); e devolução de cheques de clientes sem menção, no verso dos cheques, dos motivos da devolução.
