INTEGRITY, MAPUTO, NOVEMBRO DE 2023 – O chamamento é do Primeiro-ministro, Adriano Maleiane, explicando que os investimentos verdes também concorrem para a geração de emprego e renda, e mitigar os efeitos das mudanças climáticas.
“Para o efeito, o desenvolvimento do turismo no nosso país deve ser orientado na perspectiva de uma exploração adequada dos recursos ambientais”, disse Maleiane hoje, em Maputo, durante a abertura da 9ª edição da Feira Internacional do Turismo de Moçambique (FIKANI).
A abordagem de investimentos verdes, segundo Maleiane, deve ainda assegurar a criação de sinergias para que as comunidades possam colher dos benefícios dos empreendimentos turísticos.
O Primeiro-ministro recomendou para que os empreendimentos turísticos respeitem os diferentes ecossistemas naturais, “onde estão ou serão implantados os empreendimentos turísticos”.
Desafiou todos intervenientes no processo de desenvolvimento do sector turístico no país, a apostarem em soluções inovadoras que contribuam, de forma integrada, para promover um turismo sustentável que tenha em conta os actuais e futuros impactos económicos, sociais e ambientais.
A 9ª edição tem como lema: “FIKANI por um Turismo Sustentável”. Maleiane explica que o lema remete à todos, a uma reflexão profunda sobre como consolidar o desenvolvimento do turismo, protegendo o meio ambiente e conservando a biodiversidade, “sobretudo numa altura em que o nosso país tem enfrentado desafios associados aos impactos das mudanças climáticas”.
Só assim, de acordo com Maleiane, o turismo poderá, efectivamente, assumir-se como uma indústria e, por conseguinte, dar o seu contributo para a robustez do tecido empresarial, bem como trazer mais ganhos para a economia e para o bem-estar dos moçambicanos.
Maleiane visitou os stands na Feira, e interagiu com expositores nacionais e estrangeiros ligados a diferentes áreas do sector do turismo, incluindo hotelaria e restauração, agências de viagens, companhias aéreas, instituições de ensino.
Participam no evento, de quatro dias, mais de 200 expositores e os organizadores esperam receber mais de seis mil visitantes, incluindo prestadores de serviços turísticos e culturais, representantes de agências de viagens, estabelecimentos de alojamento e restauração.
Lançada em 2013, a FIKANI serve de principal plataforma do governo para promover o encontro de profissionais dos sectores de hotelaria, turismo e cultura.
É organizada pelo governo, através do Instituto Nacional do Turismo, e conta com o apoio da Federação Moçambicana do Turismo e Hotelaria (FEMOTUR). (AIM)
