Segundo consta na publicação do grupo terrorista escrita em árabe refere que “os soldados do califado atacaram ontem [sexta-feira] a aldeia cristã de Mabati, na zona de Muidumbe, em Cabo Delgado, e aí entraram em confronto com as milícias cristãs, com metralhadoras, o que os levou à fuga. Os Mujahidin queimaram mais de 30 casas e outros bens seus, e eles retornaram as suas posições em segurança (…)”.
Entretanto, nenhuma fonte das Forças de Defesa e Segurança (FDS) nacionais e estrangeiras presentes no Teatro Operacional Norte (TON) confirma ou nega tal incursão, referindo apenas que as operações de monitoria e perseguição aos terroristas no terreno continuam, depois que nos últimos dias ocorreram diferentes ataques em Macomia, Mocímboa da Praia e agora em Muidumbe, actos que acabaram provocando uma nova onda de movimentação das famílias que já estavam a tentar reconstruir suas vidas.
Ainda em Cabo Delgado, o grupo terrorista Estado Islâmico (EIPAC) publicou votos dos seus militantes decapitando um civil na aldeia Novo Cabo Delgado, no distrito de Macomia, onde para além do acto bárbaro queimaram a residência em que este vivia. Entretanto, no sábado as autoridades capturaram um presumível terrorista na zona de Silva Macua que se acredita que estava em fuga ou a fazer reconhecimento da região para um possível ataque.
De salientar que esta nova etapa dos ataques terroristas em Cabo Delgado acontecem enquanto Moçambique se prepara para assumir as frentes de combate sem o apoio directo das Forças estrangeiras que se encontram no TON desde 2021, que depois da sua chegada o cenário de combate mudou bastante nos distritos assolados pelas incursões bárbaras do grupo, o que permitiu às famílias regressassem para as suas zonas de origem e alguns projectos económicos e sociais começassem a ser implementados em Palma, Mocímboa da Praia, Macomia, Ancuabe, Quissanga, Muidumbe, Mueda, Nangade, Meluco, entre outros distritos das províncias de Cabo Delgado, Niassa e Nampula.
