Segundo os alunos que testemunharam o incidente, à saída das salas de aula, os alunos aglomeraram-se e depois caíram na única que dá acesso a parte superior de um dos blocos.
“Começaram a sair acumulados. Não sei o que aconteceu. Fecharam o portão, então todos começaram a ficar sufocados. Começaram a perder ar, começaram a cair aqueles que estavam a subir. Com tanta pressa de subir, começaram a ser empurrados com os que estavam a descer. Uns caíram em cima dos outros. Alguns não conseguiam mexer os pés, outros perderam ar e outros contraíram ferimentos na cabeça. Os professores e a direcção da escola prestaram primeiros socorros. Levaram os alunos para hospital”, contou Teresa Moisés, alunas da escola, depois da realização de uma das provas que decorrem desde a passada segunda-feira.
O HCB confirmou a entrada de 30 alunos, dos quais 18 em estado grave. Os alunos que deram entrada naquela unidade sanitária inconscientes, outros com traumatismo craniano após a queda, estão sob cuidados médicos intensivo pediátricos.
Na tentativa de colher mais dados sobre este caso dentro do recinto escolar, alguns docentes impediram a equipa de Reportagem do jornal O País de registar as imagens no local dos factos, alegando que não estavam autorizados para o efeito.
Ainda ontem, a Secretária de Estado da província de Sofala e o governador desta região do país visitaram as vítimas e exortaram aos profissionais de saúde a prestarem atenção redobrada aos alunos. (O País)
