A atitude corajosa de Almeida Jornal mereceu uma “homenagem instantânea”, após resgatar com vida a menor na presença dos agentes do Serviço Nacional de Salvação Pública (SENSAP) que tentaram por um período de duas horas o resgate, mas de balde!
O acto heróico ocorreu na manhã desta terça-feira (25.04) e por sinal, foi testemunhado pela Governadora da Província de Manica, Francisca Tomás, que esteve no local para lançar a semana africana de vacinação contra a Malária.
No entanto, após duas horas, os “soldados da paz” tentando salvar a menor sem sucesso, eis que aparece um “herói anónimo” no local e lança-se para o interior da latrina e sai com a criança, os dois ensopados de fezes.
Contudo, a atitude do jovem comoveu a Governadora de Manica, Francisca Tomás, que tirou dois mil meticais da sua bolsa para gratificar o “herói do dia”. (Pedro Tawanda, em Manica)
